We talk a lot about avoiding plastic because it can impact our health directly as the chemicals in the plastic slowly get into our bodies and mess with our hormones.

But that’s not the only reason we try to avoid plastic. They also end up in water ways and start breaking down into tinier plastic pieces, which fish and other animals think look like food. That means that plastic is also affecting sea creatures, and can affect the seafood we choose to eat. When you can, try to avoid plastic and always make sure you are disposing of it properly. Also, look for sustainable seafood sources. : @natgeo .
