Industry Regulated & For Adults-Only: Shrek Glasses!
This week on the Daily Show, Jon Stewart discussed product regulations and the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s new plan for protecting kids from “toxics trinkets”, like the recently discovered McDonald’s cadmium-tainted Shrek glasses: “Instead of setting mandatory limits on cadmium, the CPSC is allowing the industry to police itself.”
What?? As Stewart says, “That’s like putting out the whole bag of Purina and trusting your dog to stop when its had enough”.
