Founder’s Celebration Honors Michael Green’s Audacious 26-Year Legacy at the Center for Environmental Health

San Francisco, California–The Center for Environmental Health (CEH) hosted a Founder’s Celebration on Friday, May 5 in San Francisco, honoring Michael Green’s 26 years of transformational leadership at the organization. 

More than 160 people attended, including activists, community organizers, CEH board and staff, longtime friends and donors to the organization. CEH’s Interim CEO Regina Jackson emceed the event and commended Green’s legacy as “an environmental justice warrior.”

Actress, director, and writer Sarah Wayne Callies was a featured speaker, who said Green has “done the work to protect the most vulnerable among us from dangers we might not even know are there. We are all safer – even those of us who don’t know it – for the work of Michael Green and CEH.”

In his remarks, Green thanked the staff and board for 26 years of partnership working to eliminate toxic chemicals across sectors and transforming entire markets. “I look forward to supporting the next generation of leadership and believe in a great future for CEH,” he said.
