Safe Chemicals Action Day: Call for ALL Candidates to Stand with Kids, Not the Chemical Lobby
Join people across the country for Safe Chemicals Action Day! Every day American families are exposed to toxic chemicals like lead, cadmium, and formaldehyde — often times through consumer products in our homes. Science shows links between toxic chemicals and childhood cancer, early puberty, infertility and learning and developmental disabilities.
This is unacceptable.
The chemical lobby has spent millions (see the numbers here) in this election to back candidates for Congress that will keep toxic chemicals in consumer products unregulated. We need your help to fight back and make sure your Congressional candidates know that you care about increased oversight on toxic chemicals.
Tell your Congressional candidates to reject the chemical lobby’s agenda to block reform in Congress and instead support the Safer Chemicals Agenda.
We need all candidates to stand up for our kids and families!
Join in on the action today ask your candidates to endorse the Safer Chemicals Agenda:
Step One: Find your candidates for office – check out Ballotpedia’s NY page.
Step Two: Send them all an email. Sample messages are available here.
Step Three: Call all candidates and ask them to support the Safer Chemicals Agenda.
Step Four: Use social media to ask candidates where they stand. You can retweet our messages at @gengrn and @4envirohealthOrganizations promoting this Day of Action do not endorse specific candidates and are organizing this event to encourage all candidates to endorse the Safer Chemicals Agenda.
