CEH Vows to Hold the Trump Administration Accountable, Fight for Public Health and Safe Communities
For 27 years, the Center for Environmental Health has worked tirelessly and litigated against governments and corporate polluters to reduce people’s exposure to toxic chemicals in our air, water, soil, food, and the products we use every day.
We remain steadfast in our mission to protect public health and support decision-makers by leading science-backed approaches that center on prevention and remedy environmental injustice.
Previously, we sued the Trump Administration many times for failing to protect public health. We joined grassroots groups in North Carolina in the fight to protect public and environmental health from toxic PFAS “forever chemicals.”
We banded together with ally organizations to move forward legislation and ensure enforcement of laws to safeguard our health and our environment. We vow to accelerate our work toward systemic change in our world over the next four years.
We at CEH believe environmental, social, gender, and racial justice are deeply intertwined. We will not stand for racism, misogyny, the erosion of our bedrock environmental protections and rights, or attacks on the rights of our communities.
We will continue to fight polluters including the fossil fuel, chemical, and plastics industries who prioritize profit over people and our neighborhoods.
We are ramping up our work to defend our right to clean air, clean water, safer products, and a healthy planet. Now is the time to take action and we promise you, we will.
