On the market for a new couch ?

This is a friendly reminder to look for a couch that doesn’t contain flame retardants. Once upon a time, couches were required to have flame retardant chemicals in them because they were thought to help stop/slow fires (spoiler: they don’t). But they DO have a lot of negative health impacts.
Luckily, lots of companies are phasing these chemicals out of their couches. Check the item description or product tag before you buy to ensure your new couch is definitely flame retardant free!
